Every Thursday from April to September we host our weekly Farmers Market right here at Yamashiro. Open from 5-9pm we have a wide selection of vendors selling fresh produce, great wine, coffee, jewelry and unique cuisine. Our Executive Chef Brock Kleweno will also be serving his amazing fusion tacos from our Yamashiro Farmers Market Grill. Bring some friends, grab a drink and some food and enjoy Hollywood’s best evening Farmers’ Market while taking in the best view of Los Angeles.
Best of the Wurst offers authentic German cuisine using old family recipes. They were a big hit during last year’s Farmers Market run and we’re excited to have them back. Their all pork Bratwurst comes nestled inside a fresh baked roll and is topped with dijonnaise mustard, ketchup and their signature secret recipe sauerkraut. If a traditional Bratwurst isn’t your thing then try their Chicken Tomato Basil, Beef & Pork Jalapeno and Chicken Lemon Cilantro Bratwursts. Their Currywurst blends tangy curry, curry ketchup and their delicious Bratwurst for a dish that goes great with a nice, cold beer. And, of course, there’s the Frikadelle, think of it as a German meatball, that’s seasoned to perfection and it’s so tasty and juicy that you really don’t need to add anything to it. A side of Crispy Potato Halves that are hearty and tasty all the way through really completes the Best of the Wurst experience.
To make your visit more convenient, we provide free parking and shuttle service during our Farmers’ Market. Please check out the map below for information on where to park and use our shuttle service:
Hello Spring! And with the Springtime comes the opening of our Pagoda Bar. Come up and enjoy a glass of wine or one of our Signature Cocktails while watching the sunset. At night you’ll be treated to the best view in Hollywood with the iconic Hollywood sign, Griffith Obervatory, Pacific Ocean and Downtown Los Angeles skyline creating a picture perfect backdrop for your night out.
Our bartenders have created two additional Signature Cocktails that are best enjoyed outside under the California Sky.
The Q-Tea: Cucumber Water, Agave Nectar, Fresh Lemon Juice and Oolong Infused Vodka
Summer Passion: Mango Puree, Fresh Lemon Juice and Passion Fruit Vodka
Our Pagoda Bar is open Thursday thru Saturday from 5pm-11pm.
Just one more week until we set up the tents, fire up and grill and break out the wine glasses for our Thursday Evening Farmers’ Market! Huzzah! We’ve been stoked for it’s return, as you can probably already tell, and we’ve been talking about it non-stop up here. How about letting some others do the talking? Here are some kind words and great photos that our friends said about last years Farmers’ Market run:
Don’t forget that our free parking and shuttle service will also be back to make your visit as easy as possible.
There are only two weeks left until the return of our Farmers’ Market. The next 13 days can’t pass quickly enough. The smell of tacos in the air. Silky gelato. Australian coffee. Fresh produce. Tasty crepes. Bratwurst. Artisan chocolate. Wine. Beer. April 7th is going to be an overload of deliciousness. Not to mention the view provided. Even for us up here it never gets old. So tell your kids, tell your wife, tell your husband ’cause we want to tell everybody out there.
Los Angeles is a town known for historic restaurants and ABC7 recently listed Yamashiro as a not-to-be-missed experience for anyone visiting The City of Angels. So to be mentioned along with such landmarks as Pink’s Hot Dogs and Randy’s Donuts as being a must-visit for a unique and memorable Los Angeles experience was quite the honor.
Tara de Lis, Citysearch editor, had this to say to ABC about Yamashiro:
“The view is gorgeous. You’ve got views of everything from the Hollywood sign to the buildings in Culver City. It’s just a really amazing Hollywood experience.”
On top of that ABC’s Eye on LA segment also featured us as a location that offers a unique outing experience in Los Angeles. Watch the video below as our portion of the segment starts about 30 seconds in showing our amazing view and a little teaser of our Thursday Evening Farmers’ Market that’s starting again on April 7th.
There’s only a month left before our Farmers’ Market gets started again up here at Yamashiro and we can’t wait. The smell of tacos in the air, wine and beer flowing freely, the sound of live music and the giggles of delight coming from Twinkles the Clown’s children’s show all starts back up again on April 7th. Mark you calendars as Los Angeles’ only evening Farmers’ Market returns to Thursdays at Yamashiro. Wine and dine with some friends while taking in the best view of Los Angeles and Hollywood.
When our Farmers’ Market starts back up again on April 7th Chef Brock will be serving up his delicious tacos from the Yamashiro Farmers’ Market Grill. Last year there were plenty of hungry Angelinos lining up to get a taste and we hope this year is no different. For those of you who didn’t make it up here during last year’s Farmers’ Market here’s the taco roster that Chef Brock will be tantalizing your taste buds with:
- Red Wine and Soy Sauce Braised Short rib.
- Miso-Sake Glazed Black Cod.
- Hoisin Duck Confit. Served with a Blood Orange-Agave Salsa.
Homemade Ginger Pico de Gallo, Chili Salsa Roja and Tequila Salsa Verde will be featured at our salsa bar to go along with a favorite from last year, the Wasabi Guacamole, also made at Yamashiro from locally grown avocados. All orders are served with a side of tortilla ships and garnished with Chef Brock’s “ Bread and Butter” Pickled Shishito Peppers.
We’re really excited for this upcoming Farmers’ Market season and hope to see a lot of familiar faces along with some new ones.
Circle it, folks! April 7th marks the return of our Thursday Night Farmers’ Market. The return of our FM also brings back Chef Brock’s amazing tacos. Your favorite vendors will be back selling locally grown produce, artisan eats and fine drinks. Thanks to everyone who came out and made our FM a success last year. We hope to continue the good times this year. We can’t wait to have you back up here every Thursday night.

With a heavy heart and the welling of a tear we say goodbye to our beloved Farmers’ Market for this year. It was a lot of fun for us and we’d like to thank you again for coming out and enjoying it with us. We’re aiming for a Mid-March opening for next year so check back here for updates about next years Farmers’ Market. Chef Brock’s tacos will be back again for next year as well. Many of our vendors work other markets as well. You can head over to the LA City Farm website and check out the list of vendors websites to help track down all your favorite vendor’s whereabouts.
If you’re just looking to come up and enjoy the view we offer our Yamabites menu in the bar area Mondays through Thursdays. We have a delicious selection of tasty bar food ranging from $3-10. Check out our Photos section to see what our Yamabites menu has to offer.
